An up-and-coming icon in the Indonesian independent music world, Ken Jenie spent twenty years of his life in New York City, studying Communication Arts at Queens College and the New York Institute of Technology as well as being involved in the city’s film and music scenes.

After returning to Indonesia in 2010, Ken has immediately made an impact in the Jakarta music sphere by reassembling his old Brooklyn-based band Jirapah, along with his fiancée and friends in Jakarta. Not content with being the lead vocalist, guitarist and front man of one the city’s hottest indie-rock outfits, Ken has also dedicated much of his time to his W_Music project, focusing on promoting and supporting the local music scene.
